Even if your OWC Guardian is lost or stolen and the internal SSD is removed, your data cannot be accessed without the correct password.

The Best Encryption

OWC storage solutions are created to be the best in all aspects, so we infused the palm-sized OWC Guardian with hardware-based military grade encryption. The OWC Aura SSD inside Guardian has a built-in 256-bit AES OPAL cryptoprocessor to keep your data continuously protected without slowing down your machine with encryption tasks. Additionally, OWC Guardian’s physical assess design ensures you’ll also never have to worry about malware, hacking, or brute force attempts to acquire your data.
