For tough location shoots where bringing a full cart just isn’t an option, the Whaley Rail Tatonka Backpack Frame is the solution. The included Whaley Rail components mount directly to the Tatonka Lastenkraxe (backpack purchased separately) with no modifications required — simply slide the 1.5″ OD vertical posts into the backpack, then build out the upper and lower cross rails to rigidly frame the Whaley Rail system in place.

Build out a DIT setup, wireless receiver rig, or focus station that can be carried on your back.

The lower spigot cross rail lets the frame dock onto a baby pin, while still allowing the backpack to stand upright on its base when needed.

The upper cross rail is 21.25″ long and features two baby pins for mounting monitors, receivers, or other small accessories.

Whaley Rail Corner Clamps feature ARRI 3/8″ and 1/4″ pin-loc mounting — an ideal rigging point for the Rudy Arm to mount small monitors and hand units.

To mount a single monitor, our Whaley Rail Clamp to Quick Release is required and sold separately.
