Frequently Asked Questions
How do I record ProRes video externally from my iPhone?
Connect the module via MagSafe or 1/4"-20 mount, insert a CFexpress B or SD V90 card (formatted APFS/exFAT), and use an app like Blackmagic Camera to record ProRes directly to external media.
What media cards should I use?
Use CFexpress Type B or SD cards rated V90 with at least 220 MB/s sustained write speed to support 4K 60fps ProRes recording. Slower cards may limit quality or reliability.
Does the module require an external power supply?
No—the unit is USB bus-powered and draws power from the iPhone or compatible host during operation.
Is the device compatible with rugged filming environments?
Yes. The module is built with shock-resistant, industrial-grade materials and is tested to perform under extreme temperature and field conditions typical for professional productions.
Can I use this on a rigged camera setup?
You can mount with the 1/4"-20 thread and ARRI 3mm anti-twist pins for secure attachment to cages, arms, or other accessories in a modular rig.
