Form That Flexes Beyond Today

Engineered to support any NVMe M.2 2280 SSD and any 3.5" SATA HDD, this compact powerhouse gives you the ultimate flexibility to choose the drive configuration you want today—including blazing fast highly reliable OWC Aura SSDs with up to a massive 8TB capacity. When tomorrow’s 16TB and larger NVMe SSDs hit the scene, you can easily boost your StudioStack’s capacity.

Lift Beyond Your Limit

With StudioStack’s three Thunderbolt 5 and three USB-A ports, you’ll lift the connectivity limit of your Mac mini M1/M2 machine to a new PR. You’ll also love how easy and fast the two side-located USB-A ports make plugging in flash drives, card readers, and other frequently used devices instead of blindly fumbling around behind your machine.

Muscle Meets Multi-Use

Accessing your StudioStack Mac formatted volumes on a Windows PC is remarkably easy with the addition of OWC MacDrive. This seamless software (sold separately) runs in the background, so there’s nothing to launch or learn. Just connect the StudioStack and not only do you have instant read access, but full write access too! MacDrive also includes powerful features that enable you to format and partition drives as well as repair basic disk issues.

Better Than Plug and Play…It’s Plug and Pump Up

OWC products are loved around the world over for their It Just Works™ ease-of-use and reliability. StudioStack solutions come pre-formatted (APFS/HFS+) so they're ready to plug into your Mac Studio or Mac mini and pump you up with power. Don’t fret if you’re a PC user, OWC’s free Drive Guide helps you easily reformat for Windows in seconds.

Your Data’s Reliability is Our #1 Priority

Like all OWC storage products, StudioStack underwent rigorous development testing processes, including intensive mandatory Thunderbolt certification. This hyper-focused attention to detail helps ensure you’ll enjoy a guaranteed consistent experience using StudioStack with a wide range of products and brands. As a final quality assurance, every StudioStack solution goes through a multi-step performance verification prior to shipping.

While the priority for some storage devices is to be a mass-produced, lowest price commodity, we do things differently because the reliability of your data and the longevity of an OWC product is priority #1.

OWC Thunderbolt Cable Included
OWC StudioStack comes with a certified 0.3M OWC Thunderbolt 5 (USB-C) Cable. But if your workflow demands a different length to make the connection, OWC Thunderbolt 5 (USB-C) Cables are the perfect choice.

1. StudioStack with 32TB total capacity (8TB NVMe SSD and 24TB HDD) vs 512GB Mac Studio 2025
2. 6302MB/s sequential read/write peak speed based on testing an 8TB OWC Aura Ultra IV SSD equipped StudioStack connected to a Mac Studio M3 Ultra running AJA System Test (4K-Full resolution, 64GB file size, 16bit RGBA codec, single file test). Actual performance may vary depending on the installed drive and the application used.
3. Thunderbolt 5 can support up to three displays from a single computer host port dependent on the host computer's capability. This includes up to three 6K or lower resolution displays, three 8K displays @ 60Hz, or two 8K displays @ 120Hz. Presently, Apple has enabled support for a maximum of two native displays per connected Apple Mac Thunderbolt host port. Software driver based technologies, such as DisplayLink (as supported by the OWC USB-C Dual HDMI 4K Display Adapter), may enable additional display support.
