Frequently Asked Questions
What is the maximum load capacity?
This suction mount is rated for secure mounting of cameras, key lights, or monitors up to 5 kg (11 lb) on smooth, clean surfaces. For heavier motion shots or overhead rigging, always use safety cables and test the mounting before filming.
Which surfaces are compatible?
Works best on clean glass, acrylic, and flat, non-porous metals. Avoid textured, porous, or dirty surfaces to ensure a secure seal.
Does it require batteries?
No. The Kofi Cup uses a manual vacuum pump—no charging or batteries required.
Can it be used outdoors or in high-motion setups?
Yes, many filmmakers use Kofi Cups in car rigs, moving vehicles, or outdoor locations. Rigging verification, surface cleaning, and use of safety cables are essential for high-motion setups.
What mounting accessories are included?
Each kit includes the specified number of cups, ball heads, NATO clamps, and (for Cine) a 6" extension—see kit comparison table for details.
