A common use is to connect the output of a Lectrosonics Venue 2 receiver to the DNTBOB88 breakout box to feed a Dante network. Other uses include connecting microphones to Lectrosonics processors. The rugged assembly is wired in the standard configuration with XLR pin 2 as audio (+), pin 3 as audio (–) and pin 1 as ground. The Phoenix connector is housed in a rugged, 2-part shell.
